After hearing from many people that its good to read for babies from an early age, I too wanted to do the same for Kavya..So once she turned 6 months, I went and bought some nice books with biig pictures in it..However she was too small to notice the colorful pictures and was busy picking up some dirt from the floor :-) Then I got her a touch-n-feel board book with baby animals in it..The book is called 'Quack Quack'..Now she was 9 months old and was very much drawn to the various pictures of the animals in the book. But the book ended up being her teether for most of the times and do did the book 'Thumper and his fluffy tail'...Then we got some Baby Einstein board books and this time she was a year old and she loved those books..Sometimes she would silently sit and read the books and talk to the pictures in the books. But that did not stop her from eating the corners !
Last week, all of a sudden, she took the 'Who Lives Here' lift-n-flap book and dropped it on my lap. When I started reading it, she sat on my lap and started looking at the book. Then she put the book on my lap again and again and again..I got bored of reading the book..But she hadnt !!!! She would come n give me a book when I am washing, cooking...whenever she felt like reading a book !
Now whenever she sees a book, she comes running to me and drops it in front of me..When I start reading it, she sits down and watches the book like a sweet baby ! She's growing up fast :-)
