Rang De Basanthi

After a very long time, I watched a movie in a theater and thoroughly enjoyed the movie..This is one movie that leaves u heavy at heart and the sparks a thought in ur brain as to WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR YOUR COUNTRY ?

Aamir proves why he is one of the finest actors in the country today. He plays a character that is much younger than what he actually is, but never does that come across in the screen. Be it the way he flirts with the girl from London, be it the mischievous looks, be it his dialogue delivery,be it the way he breaks down and cries,Aamir has done it again. He is really good in the movie, a good film for Aamir after the terrible Mangal Pandey disaster..The next one who surprised me is Siddharth..If you ask me, it is a Siddharth movie and the guy is really good in the role. Soha Ali's performance was a surprise..I never expected her to be so good and natural !!! Every character in the movie had some message to say and every character was important. It is always great to watch a movie where there is no ONE hero and the story revolves around him..

The story in itself has been told very differently,the way present merges with the past has been beautifully done. The first half is all mischiefs,good songs and lots of laughter..The second half is serious and makes u glued to the screen even though you might have guessed whats gonna happen next..I liked the way the climax has been shot especially the one on Aamir.

Music is awesome. ARR is back again...My favourites are RangDeBasanthi,Paatshala which are fast dance numbers and Tu Bin bataaye is a melodious number. This song is better when watched..Indeed very romantic ! Oh My god..that reminds me, I love the way Maddy proposes :-) Who can say a NO when someone as good as him proposed in that way !!!

On the whole, RangDeBasanthi is a great movie..Watch it if you have a chance to..And it will be worth it !
