I recently met one of my very close friends when she was here in this city. Though we hadn't met for a long long time, the minute we met, we started off just where we left. I remember the times in my college when myself and she used to talk for hours together into midnight...Don't ask me what we spoke...I will not know exactly..But that was fun and even now if we have the time, we both could go on and on and on..Thats mainly because we both say things that each other wants to hear..and not every person can tell you things that you want to hear..we both respect each other's thoughts and understand what the other person is going through without complaining about not mailing, not calling etc etc...
Thats what seperates a best friend from a friend...Best friend always says whatever you want to hear..Well,if not always, most of the times..and you know you can always count on them..they always make and want to see you happy :)
If you want your friend to be supportive and understanding and fun to be with, with whom you can share everythingabout yourself without having to think, then you might not have many of them around you !! And then you will find just one or two who can accept, understand and respect who you are without expecting too much from you..And thats the person whom you will call as your best friend - As the friend in Need....
And thats where the beauty of any relationship lies...When in a relationship you accept the other person just as who they are, things tend to become easy..Well, it is easier said than done..Not in all relationships, we can accept the other person as they are..But expectation is the main cause for disappointment and emotional distress in some cases.
Should we really not expect anything from anyone ? Where do we set our limits and how do we know the limits ? Well, I do not know the answer for sure as of now..Maybe if you can find the answer that would be one of the keys to happiness...
As of now, my greatest expectation is watching KANK over the weekend !!!!
